Hope you are all having a good week so far?!

Recently I have been enjoying reading/watching other Blogger's sharing apps they use, which I have to say has been really useful! Sometimes I'm on instagram or on one of my other social media sites and wonder "what filter did that person use" "how did they add music to that video"..and so on, therefore I thought it would be fun to share mine and who knows you may find it helpful too:).

The apps I am sharing with you today are ones I use frequently My Go To, so it will be a bit of a mish mash of things with some I am more than sure you use already. I wont list Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for obvious reason's.

Without further ado...

Google+ I have found it a huge help being a blogger sharing my blog post's with all my group connection's. I would probably say most of the visits to my page are from Google+ and having the app on my phone is super convenient when you are on the go and want to share you're post's and keep up to date on people liking, sharing and commenting. Great tool!

Pages is an app linked to a page you run on Facebook. I linked it to my Blog's Facebook page that way I can easily see messages, notification and stats all relating to my page separating it from my personal account.

Pinterest I have been using for quite a while now and have not tired of it yet. I love the idea of it and have been inspired by many things I have come across on there, from fashion, home decor and recipe's. Blogger's that I follow have mentioned how useful they have found it for sharing their blog post's and that it has helped in the increase of blog traffic....that I am yet to see as I have only just started sharing my post's on there.

Polyvore is one I have referenced a number of time's in my post's. This app is a place for you to discover all your fave Fashion, Beauty, Home decor items and then the part I have fun with the most is getting to create your own collages from those item's you have found. They have loads of items to choose from and you can even import photo's of things that you have stumbled upon on the Internet. Creative, enjoyable app!

Fotor was one of the first apps I downloaded to edit my photo's and one that I continue to use. There are plenty of filter's, borders and text to choose from. As well as the app I use the desk top version when I'm editing photo's for my blog, a very easy and straight forward app to use.

InstaSquarer is an app that sizes your photo's to the shape of a square without having to crop the photo. This of course is a great app for when you need to post a particular photo on your instagram page, no more having to chop off half a head or arm to fit the screen.


XE Curreny is a foreign exchange app. This has been my Go To when travelling. Don't know if anyone else is like me....I always have to check what something cost's in pounds (being from UK), even though I have been in Malaysia for about a year on and off..I still check! The only down fault is you need to have access to wifi when using, but like most places now you can always find somewhere that has free wifi.

Crowdfire I discovered recently and I use it on a daily basis. This app can be linked to your Twitter and Instagram account. It gives you a break down of all your followers, to the people you follow, recent followers and recent unfollowers (which I love). One of the things I have found more so since blogging, there are certain blogger's out there that will purposely follow you in return for you to follow them back and then once you do they will unfollow a few days later....which is so annoying and sounds ridiculous. The only conclusion I have come up with, is that it is their way of increasing the number of followers on their page. The other part to this app I am using is the Automate direct messaging service for Twitter. Basically I have set an automatic welcome message that gets sent to every person that starts following me on Twitter, which is a fantastic way to introduce yourself and to leave links to your other social media sites like Facebook or Instagram.

Tunein Radio has been my connection to the UK music scene since moving abroad. This app allows you to pick up radio stations from all part's of the world for that reason I get to listen to 1xtra radio, Capital and LBC...yes I said it LBC!hehe

We are back again #fashionfridayfix this time I am sharing with you all a brand I have been following for YEARS....Sika Designs. 

Sika Design is a UK brand where the garments are made in Ghana using locally sourced fabric which tends to be tie dye, batik and wax prints. They model their designs on the trend and style of London's urban chic (their word's) using traditional African textile. They do have an online boutique which has recently been updated along with a new logo and they now have a collection with ASOS called Sika X asos which is amazing, you must check it out!

I first came across this brand visiting my local market in London, Greenwich Market. At that time their shop was located inside the market square and I remember when I first walked passed it and having to turn back on myself after spotting a colourful dress in the window. I think what really caught my eye was the style of the dress and the fabric that was used. The structure of the dress was very modern European and then the use of fabric was an African print which I thought was very unique and interesting as I had never seen this type of contrast before.

How was your weekend?? I didn't get up to too much, Saturday we met up with a group of friends for dinner and then finished the evening off with a Teh Tarik (Malaysian tea that I am addicted too) and then Sunday was a chill day.

As I knew we were going out I thought this would be a GREAT excuse for me to try out this nail salon called Nur Yadi Nail Spa that I discovered whilst walking around Great Eastern Mall. I can't lie the only reason I really wanted to go was purely because of the Moroccan theme decor, I know...I'm a bit of a magpie like that, anything sparkly and shiny I'm there!

I normally do my nails at home but once in a while it's nice to go get pampered and I'm taking full advantage here in Malaysia where it's much cheaper to go to these kinds of places compared to the UK.

Reception Area

When I walked in I was immediately taken in by the décor. There is beautifully tiled walls and flooring along with a mini fountain in the middle, which adds some zen to the place. I was greeted at the reception area where they have hanging above these stunning blue lanterns in different designs and along the wall, there are what looks like hand painted Moroccan/Turkish style plates.

I was seen to straight away and taken to sit down on one of the many comfy chairs they have. There is a foot sink in front of each chair and a table on the side to rest your belonging's. They gave me a blanket/towel to cover my legs and I had two Nail Technicians, one for the feet and one for the hands, I was totally getting spoilt here!













                     

                       


After a filing, reshaping, a good 'ol scrub on my feet and a much-needed massage on my feet, legs, hands and arms, I was looking and feeling brand new....well maybe not my face, but my hands and feet definitely were!!
I have to mention the hot oil that was used to massage into my arms which had the scent of Lemon Grass came from a burning candle. I had never seen this technique used before, it smelt A-mazing and the oil soaked into my skin straight away leaving it smelling delicious and feeling smooth.


















As you can see I was in the zone! They give you a large selection of nail colours from OPI & Zoya nail polishes to choose from. I went with a colour I know and love, OPI Malaga Wine. I do like my dark red nail polishes!


















Pros in visiting Nur Yadi Nail Spa are, they have a wide variety of hand and foot treatments to choose from, the place is clean, the staff are polite and good quality products used.
Cons, The only thing I would add to their service to make the experience a little bit more special is by maybe offering a drink, a mint tea to keep within the theme or even water...I hope I'm not sounding like some crazy demanding women, but that is it really.

Overall I was happy with the outcome of my Nails. I think it would be a great place to go on a girly day out and then you could wonder off after you're done, to one of the many restaurants and café's they have in the mall for a spot of lunch or coffee. That's my kinda day out, anything that involves pampering and coffee you can count me in.

All Things Mochi- Accessories

Happy Friday!!! Sorry for missing last week's #fashionfridayfix. As I had said in my last post I am having major issues with my laptop which has been making it impossible to put together a post!Urgh.. Anyway its "Friday" the start to the weekend....wishing my life away!

This weeks #fashionfridayfix is a brand called All Things Mochi who are based in Dubai.
I discovered this brand on Instagram and have recently seen a large growth in their followers which is not surprising when you see their culturally driven designs with a modern twist.

Zuzu Cape Jacket

I read that the founder of All Things Mochi is Palestinian born Ayah Tabari which now makes sense in terms of the design of the clothing where you can clearly see her roots have a massive influence even to go as far as naming one of her collections Palestine, which just so happens to carry the popular Zuzu Cape that I absolutely adore and could only dream of owning!

They employ local artisans from each country to make their clothing applying traditional techniques using local fabrics and embroidery. Even from their photo's you can see the quality and intricacy that has gone in to each piece which adds that speciality and uniqueness to the clothing.

I cannot tell you enough how much I am obsessed with this brand and I always find myself stalking their Instagram page looking for fashion inspiration! Their page is fun, bright, colourful and you can find great idea's on how to style their clothing!

Mavala Double Lash

How is your week going so far?! I feel like I haven't blogged in a while! I have been having a few problems with my laptop which have been slowing me down on my posts but hopefully, I will get that all fixed soon!

So, as promised my Review on Mavala Double Lash, for those of you that have not heard of this brand before it is made in Switzerland and are most popular for their nail care. They brought out the Double Lash as a multi-purpose product to help with eyebrow and lash growth. 
"It contains proteins and natural active ingredients which strengthen, cover and protect the lashes allowing them to become healthy, long and resistant".


How I discovered Mavala Double Lash, I like to get my eyebrows threaded and where I had been staying with my mum for a bit, I went to an eyebrow threading place different to the one I usually go to...BIG mistake! For some reason, the lady got thread happy and my left eyebrow ended up sooooo much thinner than the right! I needed something to help my eyebrow grow back quick smart as it was "not" a good look! My sister told me about this product Mavala which they sell in Boots, so I thought for only £13.00 might as well give it a go! 
There were mixed reviews on this product and from some of the reviews that I had read, they said it could take up to 8-10 weeks to see results. I have been using it for just over 2 months now.

Mavala Double Lash Applicator

I loved the idea of an easy application (can't do with anything time consuming and messy!). I applied it every night on clean skin, I brushed it through my eyebrows and eyelashes. The substance is like a serum base so glides on easily and there is no smell to it, which is a plus!

Now we get to the nitty gritty of it. It did take some time to see regrowth in the eyebrows, I would say about 6 weeks or more and the eyelashes seemed to produce faster results. In roughly about 4 weeks my eyelashes felt thicker, not necessarily longer, the length came later and that took roughly about 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately (silly me) I did not take any before and after photo's of my eyelashes to show you, Sorry people!

Would I recommend this product? Yes, why not! It is affordable, easy to apply and multi-purpose. The downside is, you need to be consistent with the application, the key is patience if you want to see results.

Here we are a again the start of a new month, is it officially the start of Summer??!

I feel like I posted more pictures last month on Instagram, which is good for me as I am always taking pictures and seem to forget to post them anywhere!ha

I was playing host/tour guide for the first week of June for one of my good friend's who visited me from London, plus hubby and I ventured out on the weekends at the start of the month so I managed to snap some photo's along the way!

This was one of the places I took my friend when she came to visit, Batu Caves. I did write a blog post recently on My Top 5 Places to See in Kuala Lumpur which features Batu caves. It was sooooo hot that day we visited Batu Caves and even more hot when we were in the caves. I took this photo inside the cave and you can see the statues sitting on the roof top, of one of the temples looking down on us. It is a must see if you ever visit Kuala Lumpur, just make sure you carry a bottle of water when you go!

Another photo taken in Putrajaya. Here I posted this photo promoting a blog post I wrote on our Saturday Afternoon in Putrajaya! Even though it is a fairly newish City, you can still appreciate the beautiful architecture going around the town. The building behind me is called Perdana Putra which is the office complex for the Prime Minister of Malaysia.


I swear I am not doing this on purpose.....I just noticed as I'm writing this, that most of my popular photo's are related to my blog post's!!Doh
We heard about this French Market taking place on one of the weekends and decided to go check it out. It was nice to enjoy some of what France is best known for.....FOOD! Again, it was a lovely day out and a bit out the norm. Click Le Marche de France-Kuala Lumpur if you would like to see more of that day:). My mouth is watering again looking at all those juicy croissants!!


This photo was taken at Cafe de Paris, Kuala Lumpur. We come here regularly for coffee (coffee is good here!) and occasionally have something to eat there too. I ordered their Salmon Salad for the first time and it was divine!!YUM Cafe de Paris is right in the centre of town and located in Pavilion Mall. I would highly recommend this place Oh and  the sandwiches are really scrumptious too!

Last but not least, one of my most recent photos.......and again relating to my Blog post!! I write a post every Friday called #fashionfridayfix, where I share with you all my new discoveries of Fashion Bloggers, Designers, Artists...basically anything Fashion related.
