Not Just an Easy Peasy Porridge Recipe
April 13, 2020
Today's porridge recipe I am sharing with you is nothing groundbreaking because let's face it if you eat porridge more than likely you know how to make it especially with there being a tonne of recipes online, on the other hand, this is more of a small reminder to myself (ourselves) particularly during this unsettling time to try and create routines throughout the day whether it's doing your fave online exercise, reading, reorganising, a facial, gardening, or even making your breakfast no matter how tiny or big it's those practices which will help give meaning and purpose for the day. I do also want to share in this post, if you are feeling tired, stressed, low, uneasy and you're in a position at home where you can take time out, then take a rest and don't feel any way guilty about it there is no right or wrong. On that note, I do hope you are all keeping well and safe, feel free to share in the comments below what routines you've made for yourselves and what's helping you get through the day.

⭐ Measuring Cup 1/2 size
Prep time: 5 mins mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Serves: 1

⭐ 1/2 Cup Organic Rolled Oats⭐ Sprinkle of Chia seeds
⭐ 1 Cup of Almond Milk or your milk of your choice

⭐ Fresh fruit topping of your choice⭐ Ground Cinnamon to taste - I use 1/2 tsp
⭐ 1 tsp of honey
Method
- Put rolled oats, chia seeds and almond milk all into your saucepan once brought to a boil turn down the heat and keep stirring for a further 3/4 mins until you get a nice creamy texture adding additional milk/or water if needed (depending on how you like the consistency).
- Once ready, pour your porridge into a bowl then place your sliced fruit on top, sprinkle the cinnamon and drizzle the honey to your heart's delight.
Tips
Due to there being a shortage of my almond milk instead, I have used 1/2 cup Almond Milk and 1/2 Cup water- still yummy and creamy.
